To me it almost seems as though the logo ought to be flipped vertically. The implication is that something which was formed (the complete circle/period/whatever) is fading away (the distorted periods). Rather, writing brings life to ideas, fleshing out that which otherwise would simply disappear. So the distorted ones ought to come first. Not sure I’d like it any better, but at least it would make more sense!
