I actually like being asked if I have anything to add in a meeting. Sometimes conversations move so quickly that it’s hard to find space to speak. Some people are verbally aggressive and can make space for themselves, but that’s just not me. More than once I’ve found myself shooting an email off to a manager after a meeting offering a few thoughts that I didn’t have a chance to speak out loud.

Otherwise I absolutely agree with everything you wrote.
